Resumen: Charming, Mercuria. Mystifying, Overpowering, the list of adjectives used to describe Anish Kapoor´s installations and public sculptures seems endless. And yet, as varied as the responses to his work are, Kapoor has precise goals in mind for each piece, and his creative outlook, while certainly wide-ranging, is enriched by specific influences and traditions. This program follows the Indian-born artist as he confers with assistants in his studio and prepares for a massive exhibition at London´s Royal Academy of Art. Incorporating archival materials that shed light on Kapoor´s youth, education, and early pigment sculptures, the film offers magnificent views of several works, including Cloud Gate, C-Curve, Dismemberment of Jeanne d´Arc, and Hive-the latter in its gallery setting as well as in the Dutch shipyard where it came to life.
